What is Hearing Impairment?
Hearing impairment refers to a partial or complete loss of hearing that may affect one or both ears. Hearing loss can be present from birth or acquired later in life and can range from mild to profound. Individuals may use hearing aids, cochlear implants, lip-reading, British Sign Language (BSL), or a combination of communication methods.
