Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is a condition that affects behaviour, often characterised by traits of inattention, hyperactivity, and impulsiveness. It affects approximately 3 – 4% of the UK population. ADHD can present itself in different ways: inattentive (ADD), hyperactive, and combination presentation. Research shows that ADHD often coexists with one or more additional conditions, which is referred to as comorbidity.
